One of the great things about making toys is being able to do projects that just *need* to be done. In our eyes, Chicago-based artist and comic book author Jeremy Tinder just *deserved* a set of toys. Jeremy's "Black Ghost Apple Factory" and "Cry Yourself to Sleep" books (published by Top Shelf) are purely charming, full of wonderful characters. With that in mind we set out almost two years ago to work with Jeremy on designing "Tinder Toys," small figures based on his quirky art.
We're incredibly proud to (hopefully) be debuting the first three Tinder Toys at this year's SDCC. Why the hopefully? Well, these are on the way from our factory right now, so they may or may not arrive in time...though chances are we will have them there.
From left to right we've got Clem, Rabburt and Boyger. All three were designed by Jeremy and sculpted by Josh Sutton at ERA Sculpture. Josh really captured Jeremy's style and we couldn't be happier with the final sculpts.
We'll be debuting these mostly unpainted (Clem and Rabburt have painted eyes) all-white versions. Price is to be determined, but at 3-3.5 inches a piece, they won't break the bank.

#1 MAIL-AWAY STAR WARS RETRO VINTAGE BOBA FETT In the spirit of the '80s, Hasbro reintroduced fans to the vintage package designs for their new Star Wars Saga figures (including the prequels) and with that came the return of the "Free Figure with Proofs of Purchase". Paying homage to what has come before and giving older fans something they've always wanted, Hasbro gave fans reason to rejoice with a retooled retro vintage Boba Fett with actual firing Rocket Launcher. Finally! Fans need only buy FIVE Star Wars figures and send in a check for shipping and handling. What makes this exclusive so well liked is that everyone could do it and there were no limits to how many you could get. If you wanted three Boba Fetts, simiply buy fifteen figures. And this exclusive didn't come in a cheap baggy with a cardboard box. No, this Boba Fett figure came in its own retro vintage packaging for fans to display carded or loose. What's old is new again. Or perhaps the old is still the very best? http://www.figures.com/forums/news/12117-best-2010-best-exclusives.html#post54516

Every year the mysterious Calypso holds his Twisted Metal contest. Contestants use cars, trucks, motorcycles, semi trucks, and helicopters - all armed with the latest weapons and deadliest gadgets - to compete in this savage demolition derby of carnage and death. All Twisted Metal drivers have one thing in common: they are insane. And none is as crazy as Sweet Tooth! Is he simply a serial killer with a penchant for sugary treats? Or is he perhaps a force of nature⦠a force of evil rather than an actual man. You decide.....find him at Toys R US!
